Meira’s unique high-fire altered porcelain is thrown, altered, manipulated and sprigged with coloured clay impressions. She uses thick slips and a multitude of sprayed glazes to highlight the forms. Her work reflects her environment , the west coast rainforest and her travels to the desert in Nevada.
This bowl, which features a pooled crystalline glaze, stands roughly 3 1/2" high at the rim, and has a 9 1/2" diameter.
