Joane grew up on Vancouver's North Shore, and was introduced to oil painting at a young age. Now living in Cobble Hill, her art is inspired by both the wild natural West Coast surroundings and the beauty closer to home in her garden. Her paintings are filled with strong strokes of colour and contrast, capturing fleeting moments of light and movement.
