Tagua nuts, sometimes called vegetable ivory due to their hard, polished sheen and creamy warm colour, can take up to a year to ripen on the tagua palm. After being sustainably harvested by local rainforest communities the nuts are dried, carved, dyed and polished into beads in a dizzying variety of shapes and colours.

All Treats Designs handmade tagua jewelry is natural and one of a kind, and yours may have slight colour and texture variations from the pictured piece.
