Linda worked as an art and English teacher for 25 years. She also worked as a pottery instructor for community college courses.
For many years her main media was clay – first as a potter and then as a sculptor. Because the size of a sculpture was limited by the kiln size, Linda eventually broadened her media choices to include bronze casting and wood. Early work was mostly relief wall art but expanded into carving on furniture. The availability of beautiful wood on Vancouver Island was an opportunity to use her interest in vessels to include woodturning. Work on the lathe is the main focus these days.
